Overview
Join to apply for the Principal Engineer - Fire Engineering role at WSP in the UK & Ireland.
Job description content sometimes contains multiple references to growth, opportunities and applying to the role. The key focus is to describe responsibilities and qualifications clearly for the role.
YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT’S INVOLVED
As a Principal Fire Engineer, you’ll typically be working on a variety of projects at once—from a University in Scotland to a high-rise residential tower in London—with plenty of international projects. The goal is to enable innovative architectural design while maintaining fire safety of the building.
You’ll be running through design information, liaising with other WSP disciplines (Facades, Acoustics, Structures), presenting designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and helping inform the design team about changes to increase building safety.
There is a development path toward professional registration via IFE and other professional organisations, with guidance through software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the start.
