Salary: A GBP 24,500 to A GBP 26,000 per annum, depending on experience
Our client, established in 2007 and now celebrating its 18th year, is part of the Veethree Group, a worldwide group of companies manufacturing electronics instrumentation for Marine, Off-Highway, Construction, and Agricultural Equipment markets.
Based in Tower Park, Poole, the company is a fast-moving organization with a small, friendly, and professional team.
Due to the company's growth, they are seeking to appoint a Shipping and Fulfilment Administrator to work in their Operations Team.
The Role
They are looking for an administrator to assist in managing their shipping and fulfilment functions, including handling inbound deliveries and outbound shipments from their offices in Tower Park, Poole. This role offers flexible daytime working hours and can be full-time.
The primary purpose of the role is to manage inbound deliveries, prepare and pack customer orders, and arrange outbound shipments. Responsibilities include checking inbound shipments for damages, managing stock levels, picking and packing orders, and coordinating outbound shipments.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping
* Packing and shipping products and materials, ensuring correct documentation and adherence to guidelines and practices.
* Monitoring shipments to meet customer requirements.
* Determining shipment methods and costs, scheduling with freight forwarders, and maintaining shipping materials inventory.
* Counting, weighing, or measuring items for shipments, and reconciling with shipping documents.
* Selecting appropriate carriers and conforming to their requirements.
* Monitoring inventory levels, notifying managers for restocking, and stocking shelves.
Receiving
* Receiving and inspecting parts, verifying specifications against purchase orders.
* Accepting or rejecting damaged items, recording quantities, and coordinating with shippers to resolve issues.
* Improving receipt processes, quality control, and cost efficiency.
* Preparing and submitting daily/weekly receiving reports and entering purchase orders into the database.
* Performing simple automated end-of-line tests.
Other Duties
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Promoting a safe environment with good housekeeping.
* Assisting in stock control operations as needed.
* Performing additional duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
No prior experience is required as training will be provided. Essential skills include:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and multitask.
* High attention to detail.
* Physical ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, and climb.
