Responsibilities
This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As a Therapy Technician, you will:
* Promote safety and protect the human rights of all residents in your care.
* Carry out therapeutic assessments and deliver treatment programmes under the guidance of qualified therapists.
* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and multi-agency team to support safe and timely discharges.
* Provide resident-focused care that is safe, efficient, and aligned with both local and national standards.
* Work independently with patients following clear clinical guidance and supervision from Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
* Use your initiative while managing your caseload, keeping the supervising therapist informed as needed.
* Conduct appropriate risk assessments of residents’ capabilities and environments prior to interventions.
* Monitor and evaluate resident progress, making appropriate changes to treatment plans within your scope of practice.
* Educate residents and families on the correct and safe use of equipment, with support from registered therapists when required.
* Empower residents and families to engage in self-management and make informed decisions about their care.

Person Specification
* Essential: Previous experience as a Therapy Assistant in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
* Essential: Experience of therapeutic handling
* Essential: A proactive, caring, and flexible approach
* Essential: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* Essential: A commitment to upholding dignity, independence, and the highest standards of care
