• Operating and driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and completing all required documentation
• Loading and delivering goods between designated locations
• Handling double-decker trailers where required
• Ensuring all loads are safely and securely restrained
• Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
• Adhering to road traffic laws, safety standards, and company proceduresEssential SkillsTo be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
• A valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
(excluding IN, DR, DD, or CD endorsements)
• A reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
• A good level of physical fitness, including manual handling capability
• Strong knowledge of road safety and compliance requirementsDesirable Experience
• Previous experience in retail or distribution deliveriesTraining Provided
