About the Role
Reporting into the Regional Head of Finance for the Midlands, the successful Finance Manager will be covering the Midlands BAU Ready-mix Concrete and Midlands HS2 Readymix contracts within Tarmac’s Materials business. This is a good opportunity for an established Finance Manager seeking to widen their experience base and demonstrate their ability to add value in more senior finance roles.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you as the successful Finance Manager will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)
1. Working on Financial governance and control
2. Providing critical support to the management teams as part of the decision-making process including tactical planning and decisions
3. Leading the provision of accurate, timely and SOx compliant accounting information
4. Driving process improvement and efficiencies
5. Taking involvement in major strategic projects within the region
6. Leading on strategic projects
7. Working on the provision of management information
8. Coordinating, assessing and driving through value adding capital investment opportunities
**Please note that this position is for a 12-month fixed-term contract**
What we are looking for
We are looking for a Finance Manager who ideally has:
9. Strong technical accounting skills
10. Experience in financial appraisals and financial modelling
11. Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
12. Experience of working on strategic projects is desirable
