Overview
Clinical Fellow in Renal Transplantation and Renal Failure Surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Glasgow. Fixed‑term six‑month role based at the West of Scotland Renal Transplant Unit and one of Europe’s busiest renal failure surgical services. The position will be extended if performance is met.
Employment Details
Shift pattern: Rotational
Duration: 6 months (extendable)
Salary: Pro‑rata for part‑time hours.
Key Responsibilities
* Support a 24‑hour partial on‑call rota (currently 1 in 7).
* Participate in elective surgery multidisciplinary teams.
* Perform ward rounds, clinic duties and operating theatre procedures, with a focus on advanced vascular access surgery.
* Attend and contribute to audit and research activities within the unit.
* Contribute to the living donor programme and general surgical activity as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Senior registrar level experience in vascular surgery.
* Completion of a UK Foundation Programme within the last 3.5 years of the advertised post start date (or provide a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training – CREST).
* Demonstrated ability to work across ward, clinic and operating theatre settings.
