📌 Experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk – 6‑Month Temp (Potential to Go Permanent!) – Northampton
Start Date: w/c 22nd June
Location: Northampton (easy public transport access + free on‑site parking)
Hours: 37.5 office hours Monday–Friday
Contract: 6‑month temporary role with the potential to become permanent
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be working closely with the Accounts Assistant (your direct report), who in turn reports to the Financial Controller. Your responsibilities will include:
* Processing high‑volume purchase ledger invoices
* Matching, batching and coding invoices
* Reconciling supplier statements
* Creating and managing purchase orders
* Matching POs to invoices
* Handling supplier queries professionally and promptly
* Supporting with bank and account reconciliations
* Assisting with ad‑hoc finance tasks as needed
👤 Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you:
* Have purchase ledger / accounts payable experience
* Are confident processing high‑volume invoices accurately
* Have strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software
* Communicate clearly and enjoy working in a small, supportive team
* Bring a proactive, can‑do attitude
* Can reliably commute to the Northampton office (public transport and parking both available)
