My client is an independent fast growing B2B Professional Outsourcing company based in Stockport, South Manchester, providing Payroll, Accounting & IT services to an expanding UK SME client base.
This new role is a tremendous and exciting career opportunity for a high calibre, business-focused Payroll specialist, ideally with experience in a similar Payroll Bureau/Outsourcing firm, to take the positive career step to head up and significantly develop this growing Payroll Services Division.
This will a fully hands-on Leadership role to proactively drive the business forward, requiring the “right” candidate to be based full-time at the firm’s Stockport Business Centre with flexibility for occasional direct visits to client sites.
Reporting directly into the Exec Team, key responsibilities/challenges will include:
* Management and Operations – full autonomous responsibility for the P&L of this expanding Payroll Services Division.
* Organisation Management –recruit, train and develop a highly motivated, cohesive and growing Payroll Outsource Service Team. Also, ensure effective and scalable processes are implemented.
* Client Management – build strong and trusted relationships with clients by ensuring the delivery of consistent exceptional customer service/SLA’s are met/exceeded at all times. Understand each client’s individual Payroll needs and tailor bespoke solutions. Where appropriate, also capitalise on opportunities to upsell additional Accounting and IT outsourced services provided by the firm.
* Payroll Support – Provide over-arching guidance and support to the dedicated team on all Payroll related matters and ensure smooth integration of Payroll software into clients’ systems.
* Overall, to maximise ongoing opportunities to ensure the profitable growth and development of this Payroll Services Division in line with the company’s successful growth strategy.
Candidate Profile:
* An ambitious high calibre professional on their upward career trajectory with proven successful Senior Payroll experience, ideally achieved within a similar Payroll Bureau/Outsourcing firm.
* Solid understanding and experience of Payroll processes and UK Tax regulations.
* Proficiency in using Payroll software and related tools.
* Excellent communication skills and highly driven, possessing the commercial/business acumen to effectively lead and develop this fast-growing Payroll division.
