Overview
We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are looking for Core Subject SEND Tutors and Teachers (Maths, English, or Science) to transform the lives of young people with SEND and SEMH needs in your community. You will work with Schools and Local Authorities to plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring for pupils and students, ranging from KS1 to KS5 as appropriate for your skills.
Responsibilities
* CPD and employee mentoring: TES CPD suite and professional mentor access
* SEND Support Team: Support to keep a team around you and the child
* Community and Company Events: Knowledge sharing and resources
* Referral Programme: Get rewarded for successful tutor referrals
* Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
* Deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to pupils and students
* Collaborate with local authorities and schools as part of the role
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed approach
* Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
* Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
* Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
* Location: Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online work
* Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

* Portsmouth, Hampshire – £28 - £35 per hour
