Rotation: 6-week rolling schedule (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 2 weeks on)
Locations: Marlborough & Devizes, Wiltshire
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Live-In Care Professional to support two lovely female clients on a predictable, alternating 6-week rotation. This role is ideal for a carer who enjoys variety, values continuity of care, and excels at supporting clients with dementia and mobility needs.
The Rotation Schedule
Weeks 1 & 2: Live-in placement with Client A Marlborough)
Weeks 3 & 4: Off-duty / Rest period
Weeks 5 & 6: Live-in placement with Client B (Devizes)
Client Profiles & Responsibilities
Client A: Marlborough Placement (Weeks 1 & 2)
A frail but remarkable 100 year old lady living in Marlborough, within easy walking distance to the town centre.
Care Needs: Dementia and Charles Bonnet Syndrome (visual hallucinations). She is very frail and requires comprehensive support.
Moving & Handling: Requires full assistance with transfers. She can push herself to a standing position but requires support transferring to a commode or wheelchair. Uses a stairlift for accessing upstairs.
Personal Care: Full assistance required with all personal care and toileting needs.
Medication: Full administration of daily medications, including eye drops.
Accommodation & Perks: Comfortable live-in accommodation, food allowance and a 3 hour daily respite break.
Client B: Devizes Placement (Weeks 5 & 6)
A lovely female client living near Devizes who is physically active but requires support with cognitive decline.
Care Needs: Vascular Dementia. She mobilises well and greatly benefits from companionship and going out into the community with her Care Professional.
Nutrition: Has a small appetite and requires gentle encouragement/prompts to eat and drink. She loves home-cooked meals.
Personal Care: Prompting and minimal assistance with showering and grooming.
Medication: Administration of PRN medication.
Accommodation & Perks: Care Professional will have their own private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Includes a food allowance and a 2 hour daily respite break.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
Experience: Proven experience in live-in care, specifically supporting clients with dementia and advanced frailty.
Skills: Confident in moving and handling techniques (transfers) and medication administration (including eye drops).
Attributes: Patient, empathetic, and an excellent cook who can prepare appealing, nutritious home-cooked meals.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage the visual hallucinations associated with Charles Bonnet Syndrome with reassurance and calm.
