Overview
We’re looking for an organised and driven Regional Fundraiser to join the Poppyscotland team, focusing on the West of Scotland for 6 months on a fixed term contract. This role is all about building strong local relationships with individuals, businesses, councils and volunteers and helping turn that support into successful fundraising activities. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Poppy Appeal, running regional events, and making sure our supporters feel valued and well looked after. Poppyscotland provides life-changing support to our Armed Forces community which includes those who have served, those still serving, and their families. At times of crisis and need we offer them vital advice, assistance and funding.
Responsibilities
* Manage a wide range of activity, from local Poppy Days and community events, to volunteer engagement and helping supporters take part in national fundraising initiatives.
* Build strong local relationships with individuals, businesses, councils and volunteers and help translate support into fundraising activity.
* Support the Poppy Appeal, run regional events, and ensure supporters feel valued and well looked after.
* Work with local organisers, set up collections at transport hubs, and develop partnerships with businesses to ensure activities run efficiently and meet targets.
* Travel across the region to meet supporters and attend events; travel flexibility and independent working are required.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Confident working on their own, enjoys meeting new people, and can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
* Happy working flexibly; this isn’t a 9–5 office job and the role requires travelling across the region to meet supporters and attend events.
* Full UK driving licence is essential.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills to support the cause and engage supporters.
Location, Hours & Arrangements
The normal place of work is New Haig House, 66 Logie Green Road, Edinburgh, EH7 4HQ. Under the Future Working framework, you will primarily be working remotely or travelling as required. You will be expected to attend the office one day per week. Your People Manager will confirm specific arrangements in line with Poppyscotland’s policy.
