Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely submission of financial statements and tax returns.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships, attending meetings and acting as a trusted adviser.
* Prepare financial statements and year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, charities and limited companies.
* Manage and execute audits for Partner sign-off, focusing on corporate governance, internal controls, and financial accuracy.
* Oversee audit review, reporting, working papers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
* Organise workflow within the team, allocate assignments, and monitor resourcing requirements.
* Review work undertaken by junior staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
* Ensure work is delivered within budget and deadlines.
* Support the development and training of junior staff.
* Prepare schedules for complex VAT and tax returns and assist with advisory matters.
About You
* ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3 years practice experience.
* Strong audit and accounts technical knowledge.
* Proven experience supervising, managing, and developing a team.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build long-term professional relationships.
* Confident, resilient, and adaptable, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
* IT literate with solid working knowledge of accounting software.
