More Than Just A Job

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day fulfilment and production operations at our Redditch facility. This role plays a critical part in delivering service excellence, ensuring workflows run smoothly, costs are controlled, and operational standards are upheld.

Reporting into the Continuous Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for executing business priorities on the ground, supporting improvements in error reduction, efficiency, and food safety. You will be a visible presence across the production floor—resolving issues, managing performance, and helping your teams thrive in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.

The ideal candidate thrives on operational structure, brings calm to complex processes, and enjoys cross-functional collaboration

Working Days: Tuesday - Saturday

You are

* Experience in fast-paced fulfilment or production operations (food industry preferred).

* Great understanding of operational metrics, food safety, and health & safety standards.

* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams on the ground.

* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and prioritisation skills.

* Comfortable working with large datasets and tools such as Google Sheets to support analysis and decision-making.

* Proficiency with WMS, order processing systems, and performance reporting tools.

* High attention to detail and operational consistency.

* Comfortable balancing day-to-day execution with continuous improvement.

If you’re passionate about driving excellence in operations, enjoy motivating teams, and want to make a lasting impact through practical leadership and collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.

You will

Operational Management

* Oversee the end-to-end fulfilment operation to ensure accurate, timely delivery of all production and dispatch activities.

* Process daily files including labels, picks, cancellations, and resends, ensuring accuracy and alignment with courier bookings.

* Support cross-departmental workflows including kitchen, tech, and customer service to deliver seamless execution.

* Maintain rack plans, labels and replenishment setups, coordinating system updates as required.

* Manage contractors and coordinate on-site works in collaboration with the Engineering Manager, ensuring safety and scheduling compliance.

Error Reduction & Standards

* Actively reduce operational and dispatch error rates through strong execution and proactive prevention.

* Monitor key CPTU metrics and collaborate with production management to embed error-reducing best practices.

* Lead daily standards checks across food safety, GMP, and health & safety.

Efficiency & Cost Performance

* Monitor daily labour, overtime, and fulfilment costs (e.g. cost per box, agency usage) and flag variances.

* Improve operational efficiency through process streamlining, optimal resourcing, and frontline coaching.

* Ensure readiness and smooth throughput during peaks and seasonal demand (e.g. Christmas, Easter).

Team Culture

* Act as a floor-based presence to keep production moving, remove blockers, and provide day-to-day leadership.

* Support onboarding, training and clear expectation-setting for new team members.

* Conduct regular reviews and briefings to align teams and drive performance.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

* Identify and resolve issues in real time and follow through to longer-term prevention.

* Support root cause investigations and escalate high-impact risks to the CI Lead.

* Implement small to medium-scale improvements in process, tools, layout or flow in collaboration with CI Lead and stakeholders.

Reporting & Communication

* Track and report performance on fulfilment cost, delivery accuracy, and service levels.

* Provide status updates and insights to the CI Lead and relevant departments.

* Lead daily huddles and weekly operations meetings with production and stakeholder teams.

* Ensure operational insights and risk are communicated clearly across teams.
