Responsibilities
* Assist in food preparation and cooking activities, following established recipes and standards
* Support the kitchen team in meal assembly and presentation
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
* Prepare ingredients and assist with portioning for various dishes
* Ensure all food handling practices meet hygiene standards
* Support serving staff during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
* Follow health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all team members
Skills
* Experience in food preparation and cooking is highly desirable
* Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and food safety standards
* Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
* Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
* Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different roles within the kitchen setting
