Cell Leader – Parachute Packing

We're recruiting a Cell Leader for a globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham. You'll be leading a team of approximately 10 people in the parachute packing department, managing all functional activities and ensuring safety-critical work meets the highest standards of airworthiness and quality.
What you'll be doing:
Leading and managing a team responsible for parachute packing operations
Driving team performance against KPIs and ensuring compliance with airworthiness and quality standards
Managing people including recruitment, induction, performance, development, and engagement
Developing and implementing departmental procedures and monitoring compliance
Managing absence, time and attendance, and conducting return-to-work processes
Handling employee relations including appraisals, development plans, and disciplinary matters where required
Ensuring all H&S regulations are adhered to including risk assessments, COSHH, and safe systems of work
Leading continuous improvement activities including 5S initiatives
Managing workload, delegating tasks, and ensuring team has the support to excel
Reviewing and approving expenses, timesheets, and holiday requests
What you need:
Proven experience managing people
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Strong organisational skills
Computer skills (SAP or equivalent systems, Microsoft Office)
Numerical abilities - interpreting graphs and analysing trend data
Experience managing health and safety procedures
School-level qualifications in English and Maths
Ability to lead teams with integrity and a willingness to learn and grow
Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and management training are desirable. Martin-Baker product knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Days-based: 08:00-17:00 Mon-Thu / 08:00-12:00 Fri
