Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS Location: St Leonards Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Do you have the compassion and energy to support young learners at the very start of their educational journey? A nurturing and inclusive school in St Leonards is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with additional needs. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s early development. Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide 1:1 or small group support for EYFS pupils with special educational needs. Assist in implementing tailored learning plans and behaviour support strategies. Support children with social, emotional, and communication development Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals. Foster a positive, engaging, and safe environment that encourages independence. Help with day-to-day classroom routines, activities, and personal care when required. Job Requirements: Experience working with children in Early Years or in a SEN setting. A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach. Understanding of EYFS framework and child development. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Relevant TA or SEN qualification is desirable but not essential.
