One YMCA is seeking a compassionate and capable Out of Hours Manager to lead our essential overnight services. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure that residents receive consistent, high-quality support during evenings and nights—times when traditional services are unavailable and when many individuals feel most vulnerable. Your leadership will help create a safe, responsive, and supportive environment that truly makes a difference
Location: This hybrid role involves overseeing our housing sites across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire, with the expectation that you will be regularly available on-site as needed
Hours: This is a night role and you’ll be expected to work between the hours of 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
What You’ll Be Doing
• Lead the delivery of One YMCA’s overnight housing services between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM
• Manage night operations across multiple sites, ensuring consistent and high-quality support for residents
• Supervise and support night staff, maintaining staffing levels and coordinating nightly tasks
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Out of Hours, ensuring timely and accurate recording, referral, and escalation of concerns
• Ensure smooth handovers between shifts and maintain clear communication with day teams
• Respond confidently to emergencies and contribute to crisis management and service development
• Promote continuous improvement and uphold service standards during out-of-hours periods
