About the Role
Teachers UK are recruiting on behalf of one of our partner schools in Nottinghamshire for an enthusiastic and creative Music Teacher. This temporary position will begin on 23rd February and continue until the end of the academic year, providing valuable support to the Performing Arts department.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons, encouraging students to develop their musical knowledge, practical skills, and creativity across a range of abilities and year groups.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Inspire students through practical and theory-based learning
Assess, monitor and track pupil progress
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Support school performances, concerts and extracurricular activities where required
Maintain effective classroom management in line with school policies
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider school communityEssential Requirements
Experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting
Strong classroom management skills
Passion for Music education and student engagement
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to start on 23rd February and commit until the end of the academic yearDesirable
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching GCSE Music
Ability to teach a range of instruments or vocal skills
