Behaviour Support Assistant
Bargoed, Caerphilly | Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Monday – Friday | 08:30 – 15:00 | £90 per day | Start date: 29th of September
We’re proud to be working with a dedicated Pupil Referral Unit in Bargoed who are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. If you have experience supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) or behavioural challenges, and you thrive in a team that values encouragement and growth, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
* Work closely with students aged 11–18, both 1:1 and in small groups
* Support learners with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and social-emotional needs
* Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion across the classroom
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with young people with ALN or challenging behaviour
* Confident in applying positive behaviour management strategies
* Patient, calm, and emotionally resilient
* Background in education, youth work, psychology, or sports coaching (desirable but not essential)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
