A fantastic opportunity to join the National Trading Team in Arch on a maternity cover basis. We require a strong leader to lead the National Trading Team South. The role involves managing and leading a team to deliver personal and team results, activity, and behaviors aligned with Arch values and guidelines, and providing efficient case underwriting service to brokers.
Role Summary and Purpose
This role entails leading the South team within the National Trading Team, ensuring effective management, performance, and development of team members, and achieving strategic objectives through excellent service delivery.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the NTT Management team to support achievement of objectives and strategy.
* Manage an effective, inclusive, and stable team, ensuring delivery of outputs in accordance with Arch guidelines.
* Participate in recruitment and onboarding processes for new team members.
* Manage team performance, conduct regular 1-1 meetings, and support the creation of SMART objectives.
* Oversee workflow management to meet service standards, SLAs, and quality standards.
* Ensure adherence to company processes and practices, and contribute to process improvements.
* Achieve personal and team targets by managing KPIs and strategic goals.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with regional colleagues and brokers, supporting team performance through coaching and management.
* Handle escalated broker issues effectively, demonstrating ownership and customer focus.
* Maintain technical knowledge and support team development, including licensing and personal growth.
* Contribute market intelligence feedback to the team and support organizational collaboration.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders and support reporting and review processes.
Role Requirements & Skills
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Underwriting.

Qualifications
* Minimum A level standard preferred.
Experience
* At least 5 years’ experience in the Commercial Insurance industry, with strong interpersonal skills and structured work approach.
