Overview
As a care worker, you will work with the residents closely on a daily basis, assisting them to live their lives to the full. You will assist them with all of their needs (including personal care) according to their wishes. Becoming a friend and having fun with them is one of the most important parts of the role.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring health and wellbeing of residents.
* Providing personal care and emotional support.
* Medication administration.
* Participating in stimulating activities.
* Involving residents in a person-centred approach.
Qualifications
* A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.
* IT, Literacy & numeracy skills
* Experience working as part of a team and customer service skills

We are recruiting (relief bank) care workers to join our passionate and committed team at Plas Bryn Rhosyn Older Persons Residential Care Home in Neath. We have a relief, permanent position available where up to full time hours can be available. This service operates 24/7, requiring flexibility with shifts, including:
* Day shifts - 8am-2.30pm or 2.30pm-9pm
* Sleep in shifts 9:30 pm - 7:30 am
* Waking night shifts: 9:30 pm - 7:30 am

Pay and Benefits
* £24,531 (£12.75 per hour)
* Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift - approx. 1 per week.
* Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
* Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
* Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
