Offer description

A Senior Fundraising Manager / Development Manager looking for a step up is needed to join iniva (Institute of International Visual Arts). This is a rare opportunity to take on a broader, more strategic fundraising role within a highly respected contemporary arts organisation.

iniva is a London-based arts organisation and charity founded in 1994 to challenge inequalities in the visual arts. Through commissions, residencies, workshops, exhibitions, and publishing, iniva supports artistic practices that critically engage with what it means to embody the histories of social, cultural and political movements and migration. It is home to the Stuart Hall Library, a free and publicly accessible research centre dedicated to global and diasporic art histories, which is a vital gathering space for iniva's work.

This newly created full-time role is designed to diversify and grow income across trusts and foundations, statutory funders, individual giving and earned income. Working closely with the two Co-Directors, the Board and wider team, you will help shape and deliver Iniva's development strategy, manage key funder relationships, identify new opportunities for support and strengthen long-term financial resilience.

You will lead on fundraising applications and relationship management across trusts, foundations and public funders, while also helping to grow individual donor support, explore corporate giving opportunities and maximise earned income through editions, publications, partnerships, events and programme-related activity.

This role could suit an experienced Development Manager, Fundraising Manager or Senior Fundraising Manager who is ready to step into a broader remit with more ownership, visibility and strategic input, while remaining hands‑on in delivery.

To qualify, your CV should demonstrate:

* A strong track record of successful bid writing, ideally from arts institutions or charities.
* Experience of securing income from statutory funders, trusts and foundations.
* A track record of meeting income targets.
* Experience cultivating individual donors and supporting individual giving initiatives.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and craft persuasive cases for support.
* Confidence working with senior stakeholders, trustees and cross‑functional teams.
* A strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on approach.
* A commitment to diversity, inclusion, accessibility and social impact.
* An interest in the arts, culture and the issues shaping contemporary society.

In return, you will join a collaborative and mission‑led organisation with a supportive and flexible working culture. The salary is £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience. This is a permanent, full‑time role working 35 hours per week, based at iniva in London, with hybrid working in place and an expectation of at least 2 days per week in the office. Benefits include 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays and additional leave between Christmas and New Year, rising to 25 days with service, pension contributions starting at 3% and increasing to 5% after six months, flexible and hybrid working, professional development opportunities, and access to iniva events and programmes including a free pass to Tate Britain.

If you are looking for an opportunity to broaden your development experience and play a key role in growing income for an organisation with a distinctive cultural mission, we would love to hear from you.
