Working within the depot reporting to the Operations Managers and Health & Safety Advisor, the Warehouse Trainer will ensure that all training, including working processes, manual handling, and MHE training, is delivered to the required standard. The role involves maintaining training records for all colleagues and supporting managers and colleagues in daily performance. During peak times, you may be required to work within the warehouse and support other tasks to meet business needs. Occasional travel for training delivery and personal development, including meetings, may be necessary.
Extra responsibility premium will be added on top of the hourly wage during training periods.
Various shifts are available.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the implementation of health and safety policies and updates.
2. Monitoring and assessing warehouse colleagues' performance.
3. Delivering training on warehouse tasks and processes to the required standards.
4. Updating training files.
5. Supporting safety initiatives such as Safety Week.
6. Participating in weekly audits.
7. Supporting hazard and near-miss reporting and accident investigations.
8. Possessing or working towards an MHE training qualification.
9. Using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word effectively.
10. Presenting training to groups and individuals effectively.
11. Having a working knowledge of MHE and relevant legislation.
12. Understanding health and safety legislation thoroughly.
13. Demonstrating a professional approach to health, safety, and training, with credibility within the warehouse.
14. Having a good technical understanding of MHE and warehouse SOPs, including counterbalance, reach truck, LLOP, PPT, pump truck, and battering processes.
15. Possessing operational knowledge of the warehouse, especially during busy periods.
16. Paying attention to detail and working independently.
17. Maintaining good communication and organizational skills.
