We are recruiting for a Chargehand for our Cut and Prep Shop.
Role Overview
The Chargehand will support the Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the Cut & Prep shop. They will coordinate work packs, organise materials, and ensure smooth workflow between profiling, cutting, and material movement, maintaining efficiency, safety, and quality throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Supervisor in overseeing daily operations within the Cut & Prep shop.
Issue and collect cutting sheets for profilers and saw operators.
Work closely with the materials team to plan, allocate, and organise incoming steel.
Control, issue, update, and collate work packs, providing accurate feedback to the Supervisor.
