About the role
We are looking for a Master Trainer to join our London studio team and play a key role in developing, supporting, and inspiring our Trainers.
This is a leadership role within the studio environment. You will lead from the front by delivering excellent classes and personal training sessions, while also mentoring Trainers, supporting their development, and ensuring our studio standards remain exceptional.
You will help Trainers learn how to teach The Ten Way, supporting them to deliver safe, effective, and engaging classes while maintaining the high standards our clients expect.
Working closely with the Head of Fitness, Operations team, and Ten Academy, you will contribute to Trainer education, assessments, and continuous development across the business.
This role is ideal for an experienced Reformer Pilates professional who enjoys coaching others, raising standards, and being a positive role model within a high performing team.
Your responsibilities
Trainer leadership and development
• Mentor and support Trainers within your studio to help them grow and succeed
• Support new Trainers as they integrate into the studio and the Ten community
• Provide feedback, guidance, and coaching to help Trainers develop their teaching skills
• Identify development opportunities and support Trainers through their learning journey
• Escalate performance or behavioural concerns where appropriate
Class delivery and client experience
•Deliver one to one sessions on the Reformer or in the gym, based on client needs
•Carry out thorough initial assessments and ongoing reviews
•Design progressive and goal focused programmes that align with The Ten Way
•Support clients with long term consistency, confidence, and results
Client care and The Ten Way
• Deliver high quality Dynamic Reformer Pilates classes aligned with Ten programming
• Provide one to one training sessions where required
• Lead by example in class delivery, professionalism, and client care
• Create engaging, safe, and motivating environments for client
Studio standards and operational excellence
• Help maintain high studio standards across safety, cleanliness, and presentation
• Ensure Trainers follow studio processes and health and safety procedures
• Support the studio team in delivering a seamless client experience
• Build strong relationships with clients and act as a visible leader within the studio
Circle of Care and teamwork
• Work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Clinical Exercise Specialists, Trainers, and Massage Therapists
• Promote the Circle of Care approach by supporting appropriate referrals across services
• Help integrate Trainers, Front of House, and clinical teams into one supportive studio culture
Ten Academy and education
• Support Ten Academy by assisting with Trainer education and assessments
• Deliver Academy modules or internal training when required
• Provide ongoing CPD sessions to support Trainer development
• Contribute ideas to improve Ten Academy and training pathways
• Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor offerings
Business support and studio presence
• Represent Ten professionally within the studio and local community
• Support recruitment days, Trainer interviews, and onboarding where required
• Work with marketing when needed on events, content, or studio promotion
• Help identify opportunities to strengthen the studio community and grow the business
What you will bring
Essential skills and experience
• Certified Reformer Pilates qualification from a recognised provider such as STOTT, BASI, Body Control, Polestar, Club Pilates, Exhale, HFE, APPI, Balanced Body, FRAME, YMCAfit, Future Fit, or Virgin Active Academy
• Minimum 3 years experience teaching Reformer Pilates
• Experience teaching Reformer based group exercise classes
• Strong understanding of movement, form, and anatomy
• A genuine passion for working with clients and supporting them to progress safely and confidently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a love for building long term client relationships
Desirable qualifications and background
• Level 3 Personal Training qualification
• Background in biomechanics, rehabilitation, or postural correction
• Experience delivering internal training or CPD sessions
• Experience working within a premium studio or multidisciplinary environment
