Counter Sales Assistant Location: Port Talbot Are you friendly, helpful, and customer-focused? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day is different? We are currently looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join our team at LBS Port Talbot. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be at the heart of the action - helping customers, handling products, and keeping everything running smoothly. What you’ll do: Deliver excellent face-to-face and telephone customer service. Assist customers with sales, enquiries, and product advice. Process transactions accurately for both account and cash sales. Keep shelves replenished and stock well presented. Pick and prepare orders for collection or delivery. Help unload supplier vehicles and check goods received. Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping. Assist with stock control, including regular stock takes. Support merchandising and store layout when required. What we’re looking for: A positive attitude and commitment to great customer service. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in retail, builders’ merchants, or a trade counter environment is an advantage—but not essential.
