Overview

Amore Complex Care – Support Worker: Withington

Amore Complex Care have an exciting opportunity for skilled support workers, with experience with autism, LD, or challenging behaviour and PICA and Epilepsy, to join our team. Please note we don’t offer sponsorship, and candidates must have a right to work in the UK.


Role details

Role: Female Support Workers

Location: Withington

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Shifts: 12 hours, either 8:00–20:00 (day) or 20:00–08:00 (wake nights)


Key responsibilities

* Competent verbal and written English
* Must have experience within health and social care settings
* Provide person-centred support to a client with Autism, learning disability, challenging behaviour, PICA and epilepsy
* Support to maintain a consistent routine, clear boundaries, and engagement in community activities


Meet the person you’ll be supporting

Who am I? I’m a 33-year-old female who loves going for drives and accessing the community, long walks, going to the cinema, bowling, arts and crafts, shopping and going to Blackpool. I work well with routine.

What challenges do I have? Autism, learning disability, challenging behaviour, PICA and epilepsy. Consistency, routine and experienced staff trained in autism & challenging behaviour are important.

Aspirations: To continue to enrich my quality of life and access the community.

Activities: I enjoy time in the garden (swing and hot tub), weather permitting, and time in the community.

Transport: I have a car and enjoy drives; there are nearby parks and shops to visit.


Team and shift patterns

* Support ratio: 2:1 during day shifts and 1:1 during nights
* Team shifts: 8:00–20:00 day shifts and waking nights
* Training: staff will receive a bespoke training course to cover the client’s needs


What we offer

* 28 days annual leave inclusive of statutory bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time)
* Ongoing professional development funded by diplomas and NVQs in Health and Social Care

* Referral bonus – up to £250 per successful referral
* No uniform – casual dress
* DBS paid by us
* Role does not involve travel between multiple sites during a shift

Note: Applicants must have proof of right to work in the UK. An overseas police check dated within the last 3 months is required if applicable.
