South Nottingham Hockey Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic coach (or player-coach) to lead our Ladies 1st team, competing in Division 4 North East.
Full job description:
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to take on the role of head coach (or player-coach) for our Ladies 1st team as we prepare for the 2025/26 season. The team plays in the Division 4 North East league and trains on Thursday evenings at our home pitch in Nottinghamshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, structured weekly training sessions, developing both individual and team performance, and, where possible, providing matchday support and tactical input. A collaborative and positive coaching style is essential, alongside a desire to support the team’s progression and enjoyment of the game within a supportive club environment.
We’re proud to have a large women’s section spanning multiple abilities, and our 1st team is a brilliant group — fun, full of banter, and always working hard to get results while keeping the spirit light-hearted. We’re a true family club: players come for the hockey but stay for the people.
