Join our Cook family in our Technical Team as Food Safety Technologist
Monday – Friday, flexible working hours from 7.00am to 8.00pm (core hours 7.45am to 4.00pm)
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain the standards by which the Company operates, aiming for continuous improvement.
* Assist in managing Food Safety Management, Health & Safety, and HACCP systems, working closely with technical, operational, and maintenance teams.
* Maintain up-to-date documentation and control record keeping processes.
* Support process information management, recipe and product standards validation.
* Investigate non-conformances, troubleshoot, and identify root causes.
* Assist in scheduling pest control, laundry, and calibration functions.
* Conduct internal safety, hygiene, and GMP audits, and schedule product, environmental, allergen, and microbiological testing.
* Investigate internal, supplier, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
* Monitor KPIs by trending audit, testing, and GMP results to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Review toolbox talks, risk assessments, and operational practices.
* Participate in food safety meetings and training, supporting team members on systems and procedures.
What you will need to succeed:
* At least two years of experience in the food manufacturing sector.
* Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems is preferred.
* Qualification in Food Technology or similar (training provided).
* Excellent computer and communication skills.
