A well-established SME in the construction sector is looking to appoint a reliable Assistant Accountant to support payroll, credit control, reconciliations, and month-end processes. This is a varied, hands-on role which will work under an experienced head of finance.
Main duties of the role:
Processing weekly and monthly payroll and handling related queries
Managing the credit control process – issuing statements, chasing payments
Posting purchase and sales invoices; preparing supplier payment runs
Reconciling bank, supplier and credit card accounts
Assisting with accruals, prepayments and other month-end tasks
Performing balance sheet reconciliationThe Ideal Candidate:
AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)
Confident across transactional finance with hands-on payroll and credit control experience
Accurate, well-organised and dependable
Good working knowledge of Excel and experience using finance systems (e.g. Sage, Xero)What’s on Offer:
