About the Role
As a Governor, you will be part of the Governing Body, helping to ensure strong governance and a clear focus on the 4Ss – Safeguarding, SEND, Standards, and Stakeholder Engagement. You’ll work collaboratively with the Headteacher, fellow governors, and the school staff to uphold high standards in education, pupil wellbeing, and school performance.
You will:
* Attend and contribute to governing body meetings
* Support and challenge school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all students
* Act as a link between the school, parents and the community
* Help ensure compliance with statutory duties and school policies
What We Are Looking For:
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A willingness to learn and contribute to strategic decision-making
* Experience in education, governance, or leadership (not essential – full training provided)
* A genuine commitment to improving children’s lives through excellent education
