Role and Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager your home will be rated at least “Good” by Ofsted. This is a 4-bed Children’s Home. You will:
* Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person’s needs
* Build and retain a strong team; support recruitment, induction, and personal development
* Foster consultation with young people about their care
* Allocate Key Workers to implement care plans
* Maintain high standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the home’s Statement of Purpose
* Handle complaints and child protection concerns
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals
* Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings
* Promote a safe culture and manage the home in line with budgets
Essential Requirements and Experience
* Passion for improving the lives of young people in care
* At least 2 years’ experience in residential care for children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months
* Knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements
* Skills in planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership
* Effective spoken and written communication
* Understanding of trauma and needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
* Full UK driving license
