Job summary
The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering a range of designated tasks/duties of a clinical and non- clinical nature including personal compassionate care to patients, working within agreed policy and procedures. Responsible for the moving and handling of patients between the department, wards and other relevant departments. Responsible for the transport of medical equipment, specimens, linen, beds, blood products, hazardous substances, drugs and fluids between Theatres and relevant service areas. Cleaning of clinical areas as necessary within the department. The post holder will assist with the preparation of equipment.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse/Midwife/Operating Department Practitioner, knowing what is expected of you, not working outside of your role, following reasonable requests and instructions within your work which may include chaperone of patients, transfer of goods and equipment between departments.
