Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team as a part-time driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent communication with both warehouse staff and customers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations.
* Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, date, and any discrepancies.
* Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
* Assist with warehouse duties as required, including heavy lifting and organising stock.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
* Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) safely and efficiently.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
* A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with regulations is essential.
