The post holder will be accountable for key functions within Patient Access services, including Urgent Suspected Cancer referrals, e-RS, the Contact Centre, and Booking and Cancellation teams, ensuring efficient service delivery, performance management, and a high standard of patient care across all area.
This is a substantive role with responsibility for line management of administrative staff, alongside operational management and project support.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Service Manager will support the Service and General Manager by providing day-to-day operational management support in service areas agreed by the General Manager/ Service Manager.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing timely, efficient and effective operational management support, with the overall aim of ensuring that services are responsive and provided to the highest possible clinical and performance standards.
They will also support the development and implementation of projects to improve service delivery and patient experience in key areas and will help to ensure that performance and quality targets are met. The postholder will also be involved in cost improvement programmes.

1. Education to 'A' level or equivalent experience.
2. Recognised leadership and/or management qualification or equivalent experience

4. Able to analyse and interpret complex information.
