Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced Developer builds complex, automated Quote-to-Cash (QTC) processes using Salesforce Revenue Cloud's modern platform, focusing on Product Catalog, Pricing, Configuration (like the advanced Configurator with CML), Contract Management, Billing, and Revenue Recognition, requiring skills in APIs, Flow Orchestration, and custom logic for intricate revenue models. They extend the native capabilities to handle complex business needs beyond standard CPQ, aiming for seamless, scalable revenue operations.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
* Complex Configuration: Develop rules for the Advanced Configurator (Visual Builder & CML) to manage intricate product bundles and dependencies.
* Pricing Logic: Implement sophisticated pricing strategies and rules within Salesforce Pricing.
* Quote-to-Cash Automation: Automate the entire lifecycle from quoting to order fulfillment, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
* Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM): Manage renewals, amendments, and cancellations efficiently.
* API & Integration: Utilize robust APIs to connect Revenue Cloud with other systems.
* Flow & Orchestration: Design advanced approval processes using Salesforce Flow & Orchestration.
* Data Management: Work with unified product data and manage contracts.
* Experience: Typically requires 6+ years of general Salesforce development experience, with at least 2+ years specifically in CPQ/Billing/Revenue Cloud.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in core Salesforce developer skills: Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and Salesforce Flows.
* Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of the Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) process, subscription and usage-based pricing models, and finance/accounting concepts related to billing (e.g., ASC 606/IFRS 15).
* Certifications: The Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist certification is typically required, while the Salesforce Certified Revenue Cloud Consultant or Platform Developer II certifications are a plus.
