Responsibilities
* Primarily responsible for the selection and specification of materials and processes involved in the design and manufacture of polymer parts (Elastomers/Rubbers).
* Support on-site moulding shop with process/material control and development.
* Maintain documentation relating to definition of requirements for materials and processes.
* Participate in Design and Applications Engineering, Value Engineering, and support Supplier Transition requirements.
* Drive specification evolution from locally-owned process specifications towards global Honeywell standards and provide significant supplier technical support.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including key customer relationship maintenance with Honeywell Engineering and Supply Chain personnel.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemical Technology, or similar.
* Experience in materials design/selection and working experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge and particular interest in Elastomers/Rubbers.
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on complex technical matters to various levels in the organisation.
* Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks quickly in a dynamically changing environment and analytical skills.
