Fire Safety Specialist Contract Reading/Home

Committed to delivering best-in-class services to EE and Three's millions of UK customers, MBNL is adapting its fire safety approach in response to evolving risk appetite and new legislation.
Responsibilities:
1. Review draft fire principles for compliance with current legislation.
2. Assess the industry's approach to fire safety to align with broader standards.
3. Develop a practical approach for MBNL to meet fire safety obligations using industry best practices.
4. Conduct a gap analysis between current and planned states, preparing and executing a transition readiness plan.
5. Provide expert guidance on Building Safety Act-related queries for ongoing projects.
6. Develop policies, templates, and standards as needed.
7. Create workflows and RACI for a robust fire safety compliance regime.
8. Conduct training for wider teams as required.
Requirements:
The successful Fire Safety Specialist will have:
* Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation in compliance with regulatory authorities.
* Proven experience in defining and implementing strategies for multi-site/multi-asset estates.
* Excellent knowledge of UK legislation, including:
o Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
o Building Safety Act 2022
o Regulatory Reform (Fire & Safety) Order 2005
o The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
o Construction and Design Management Regulations 2015
o Relevant Building Regulations for Telecoms
* Collaborative working style with cross-functional abilities.
* Ability to simplify technical terminology for effective communication.
