Job Title: Primary Subject Lead Teacher (part-time, afternoons)
Job Location: Stottesdon C of E Primary School
Hours: Four afternoons per week, 1.00 pm – 3.15 pm
Salary: MPR/UPR (dependent on experience)

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic teacher to join our welcoming rural village school. We are seeking to appoint an excellent practitioner with a clear understanding of effective primary teaching practice who is passionate about delivering high-quality provision for all pupils.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for teaching two curriculum subjects across the whole school, from Reception to Year 6. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop subject expertise, lead progression and work collaboratively with class teachers to strengthen teaching and learning across the school.
We are flexible regarding which subjects are taught; however, applications are particularly welcomed from teachers with expertise or interest in the following areas: Music, Religious Education, French, Computing, Science, Art or Design Technology.
There may also be opportunities to undertake occasional additional hours providing classroom cover, by mutual agreement, for candidates who are interested.
Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:
•Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)
•Excellent working knowledge of the primary curriculum (Reception to Year 6) in at least two subject areas
•A clear understanding of effective pedagogy and the ability to plan and deliver provision that meets pupil needs
•High expectations for all pupils and a strong commitment to enabling every child to achieve their best
•Excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills, including confidence with ICT
•The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of children and young people
•A willingness to play a full and active part in the life of the school
This role reports to the Headteacher.

Our school is located in the small South Shropshire village which is surrounded by beautiful countryside.
