Manager - Insurance Business Analyst
PwC’s Customer Financial Services Consulting Practice helps financial services organisations build powerful, next‑generation businesses using state‑of‑the‑art digital technology to deliver impactful experiences for their customers and create value for society.
As part of the practice, you will work with a range of strategic alliance partners (Engine by Starling, Salesforce, Guidewire, Microsoft and others) to design and deliver the future of digital banking, wealth and insurance for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Make sure we understand both market and client needs
* Propose and sell the right solutions to meet market and client needs
* Lead teams in the early stages of programmes to maintain alignment to client strategy
What Your Days Will Look Like
You’ll work hands‑on across the consulting lifecycle from business development through initial discovery and implementation.
Business Development
* Build a detailed understanding of digital solutions and work closely with Partners and Directors to identify and convert sales opportunities
* Develop sales materials with a deep understanding of digital banking, wealth platforms, insurance and client needs
* Run workshops with clients to understand their needs and support with detailed demos of digital banking, wealth platform and insurance capabilities
* Take a lead role in shaping proposals in terms of approach and team structure
Discovery, Design and Mobilisation
* Conduct competitor and market analysis to form a view of the appropriate digital solutions for target markets and clients
* Design new go‑to‑market propositions, based on your knowledge of the capabilities of the latest financial services platforms
* Design target‑state customer journeys / service blueprints and collaborate with designers to bring the future experience to life
* Take ownership of a key domain as a product owner and help clients adopt out‑of‑the‑box capabilities from leading platforms (e.g. Engine by Starling)
Implementation
* Act as product owner during implementation, leading teams of business analysts, UX/UI designers and engineers to design and deliver new digital customer and colleague experiences
* Work closely with your client counterpart to build their own capability and transition to run
* Develop your capability on large complex projects and eventually take a lead role as a Delivery Lead
This Role Is For You If
* You have worked in client‑facing roles, in a consulting role, or at a technology company (ideally in Financial Services)
* You have experience in financial services
* You can rapidly identify client problems and present solutions in a structured and informative manner
* You are inquisitive and enjoy the detail of understanding how something works
* You have a technical aptitude and curiosity
* You are self‑motivated in a highly autonomous, collaborative environment
* You have strong presentation and facilitation skills
* You have attention to detail
* You adapt your communication style to different stakeholders
* You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity
