Software Delivery Manager
Hybrid - Central Manchester x2 days a week
Salary - £80,000-£90,000 plus bonus
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a major gambling and gaming company to recruit an experienced Software Delivery Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, regulated environment and play a key role in rolling out Agile practices at scale.
You will lead and optimise delivery across multiple Agile teams, driving outcome-focused delivery and embedding Agile principles throughout the organisation. Using DORA metrics and OKRs, you will measure performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and enable teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead delivery across multiple domains and workstreams, ensuring alignment with business goals
2. Embed Agile principles and delivery excellence across teams
3. Report on delivery health, risks, and performance using DORA metrics and OKRs
4. Remove cross-team blockers and manage dependencies
5. Coach and mentor teams to uplift delivery maturity and predictability
6. Facilitate collaboration between Product, Engineering, and Technology stakeholders
7. Support roadmap planning and prioritisation through data-driven insights
8. Champion continuous improvement and evolve delivery frameworks tailored for regulated environments
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills and Experience:
9. Proven track record managing multiple Agile teams or complex delivery initiatives
10. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and scaled approaches (SAFe, LeSS)
11. Experience using DORA metrics and OKRs to measure and improve delivery performance
12. Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
13. Background in delivering complex digital products in regulated industries (., gambling, fintech, gaming)
14. Data-driven mindset with ability to turn insights into actionable improvements
15. Familiarity with continuous delivery, DevOps practices, and high-availability environments
Desirable:
16. Experience with outcome-based planning and SEI/DORA dashboards
17. Exposure to large-scale Agile delivery environments
18. Knowledge of modern delivery tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
19. Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe Agilist, ICAgile, PMI-ACP)
