Your new role
1. Cash Management: Maintain daily cashbooks, post banking transactions, and reconcile ie bank accounts.
2. Rent Accounting: Apply payments and charges to tenant accounts, including payroll deductions and Universal Credit arrears.
3. Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve missing payment issues with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Accounts Receivable: Issue invoices, monitor outstanding debts, and respond to billing queries.
5. Reporting: Prepare regular accounts receivable reports for management.
6. Balance Sheet Accuracy: Reconcile ledgers and support month-end ie closing activities.
7. Bank Reconciliation: Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of banking transactions.
8. Team Support: Provide cover for the Finance Officer – Ie and manage a shared mailbox.
9. Collaboration & Values: Promote teamwork and uphold organisational values through all duties.
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 3 years in Accounts Receivable or Rent accounting role
- Intermediate Excel skills, including the use of intermediate formulas.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel (intermediate formulas), Word.
- Able to collaborate productively with colleagues internally & externally
- Ability to work methodically under pressure and manage priorities.
- Proven experience ofplex reconciliations with large volumes of data
Desirable
- Knowledge of the Housing Sector.
- Familiarity with Advanced Financials software
- Familiarity with Civica CX software.
- Currently studying for an accounting qualification.
