Overview
The Environment Agency are fully committed to having an inclusive workforce to reflect the communities we serve. We’re looking for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance (STA) directorate. You will analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio, help set standards for benefits and value management, and embed them to support change, transformation, and continuous improvement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in change and transformation, with development opportunities and strong support from your team and peers. You will be part of the PMO team, shaping and optimising the project portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment, enhancing decision-making, and providing evidence to manage risk across change and transformation.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio to support benefits and value management.
* Help to set standards for benefits and value management and assist in embedding them across the organisation.
* Identify, value and validate project benefits.
* Contribute to the transformation portfolio by supporting change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience / Skills Required
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Proven experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
* Clear communication skills, able to explain complex analysis simply and persuasively to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation and adaptability; comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, encouraging consideration of diversity in work.

* You’ll have an inclusive incident management objective in your development plan. Training will be provided. The role is national with hybrid working from an EA Office base location; some travel and overnights may be required.
