Job Title: Sport Development Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Grade and Salary: Grade 4 £24,215.00 - £26,707.00 pro rata
FTE and Working Pattern: 0.6 FTE – 21 hours per week. One-year fixed term contract from February 2026 to February 2027. Delivery includes some weekend delivery with most delivery Monday–Friday 9:00–17:30.

Purpose of Role
The Sport Development Assistant will coordinate and deliver community sport services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Delivery of weekly programme of community multi-sport classes primarily for children.
* Delivery of other community multi-sport services such as birthday parties and inflatables.
* Ensure delivery meets health & safety standards outlined in risk assessments.
* Carry out administrative tasks to ensure smooth running of services such as using online booking & customer management systems and dealing with customer enquiries.
* Contribute to wider Oriam Activities department services such as holiday camps and open days.
* Support other staff within the team, especially those required to deliver services within the multi-sport services.
Education, Qualifications & Experience

Essential
* Literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to SCQF Level 5 or similar or equivalent experience
* Experience of working within a similar role/environment as outlined above
* Competent in the use of relevant IT systems & packages
* Well-developed interpersonal skills
* Demonstrable professional and proactive approach
* Demonstrable ability to work quickly, flexibly and accurately in a dynamic, changing and pressured environment
* Demonstrable provision of excellent customer service
Desirable
* Sports Coaching qualification(s)
* Educated to SCQF Level 6 and above or equivalent qualification
