Role: Data Platform Product Manager
Location: Central London (2 days per week in office)
Harmonic is delighted to partner with a high-growth research and insights scale-up, undergoing a phase of rapid expansion. They have grown 20% YoY for the past 5 years, and following recent investment are continuing to scale.
Being a data-led organisation carrying out some extremely interesting work, the data team has a significant role to play in aiding the growth and success of the organisation and offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as AI and ML.
The Data Platform team currently sits at a headcount of 4 but will double to 8 before the end of the year, offering amazing progression opportunities!
Job Responsibilities:
* Directly lead and manage a team of 2 Data Analysts
* Embrace a visionary approach to data, advocating for its importance, educating others, and fostering innovation
* Take ownership of end-to-end delivery for data platform enhancements and transformations. Develop and execute plans efficiently, managing dependencies, risks, issues, and resources (both internal and external), and proactively seeking solutions to challenges
* Oversee all Data & BI demands and prioritise them, balancing business benefits, technological requirements, and complexities/risks to achieve organisational goals
* Conduct thorough analysis of data sources to identify gaps and uphold quality standards
* Consistently provide high-quality requirements (epics, stories) with well-defined acceptance criteria in a timely manner
* Introduce new features and datasets for the BI product, contributing to the roadmap and ensuring distinctiveness in the market
Skills and experience:
* Solid background in Scrum methodology – understand how to run efficient scrum teams
* Be a subject matter expert in the data platform domain, demonstrating proficiency in:
* Data lakes, data marts, and data warehousing (Azure Databricks, ADF, Azure Synapse, HD Insight).
* SQL, NoSQL, and Graph databases.
* Processing both structured and unstructured data, data modelling, and achieving a single customer view.
* Data Modelling.
* Data schemas and familiarity with schema methods (YAML, XML, etc.).
* Data visualisation tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Looker, and MS PowerBI.
* Data science, machine learning, and AI.
* Data compliance standards and regulations like PII, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
* Hands-on experience in handling PII datasets and operationalising DSAR.
* Proficiency in ETL processes and governance.
* Appropriateness in employing data cleansing techniques and tools.
* Possess articulate communication skills, capable of crafting concise requirements, epics, and stories with clear acceptance criteria
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
