About the Role
The Full Stack Developer will report into the Software Development Manager and be responsible for working in collaboration with external developers to enhance and develop our bespoke software packages. They will have a flexible and pragmatic mindset for problem solving and be innovative with the deployment of technology to solve the challenges we face, whilst seeing first hand the rewarding impact they have. The will also enjoy face to face team collaboration
Responsibilities
Create efficient, reusable code that can be deployed and utilised in many parts of the platform now and in the future.
Designing, enhancing and supporting a range of inhouse applications.
Adhering to 'security by design' principles to minimise attack surface area, establish secure defaults and fail securely.
Contribute to conceiving our next generation of applications, laying out roadmaps for development and create a user-experience focussed delivery.
Contribute to identifying technical inefficiencies and optimise them for maximum speed, scalability, responsiveness and usability.
Contribute to creating and maintaining the department development infrastructure.
Contribute to prototyping, research & development of design ideas.
Help create and maintain stringent unit testing to verify code behaviour independently from other parts of the system.
Always work to high standards and maintain procedures to help minimise technical debt.
Utilise troubleshooting and debugging skills and techniques to find problems within our existing platform and take the necessary steps to resolve them.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years' experience within a software development environment.
Required Skills
OOD patterns and SOLID principles.
SQL.
REST & SOAP API integrations (developing and consuming).
JavaScript (with React, jQuery, Node, Typescript, etc.).
CSS & HTML5.
Version control using GIT.
Azure Devops, pipelines & application deployment.
Unit and Integration Testing.

Pay range and compensation package
Competitive salary & company benefits We offer attractive company benefits including up to 33 days holiday, as well as employee recognition days. This is currently a hybrid position, working full-time, Mon - Fri combining a minimum of 3 days in the office in Bedfordshire and 2 working from home if preferred.
