Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit an experienced Production Planner to join our clients growing manufacturing facility based in Middlesbrough.
This is a key role within the business and you will be responsible for making sure production schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with both internal capacity and customer expectations. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Purchasing, Design, and Production — as well as externally with key suppliers and customers — you’ll ensure that every order flows smoothly through the system and hits its deadlines.
Main duties of the role:
The development and communication of production plans to maintain the correct stock levels and a continuous flow of finished goods.
Coordinating production operations in accordance with labour, material, and equipment availability
Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
Proactively and promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimise delays in production
Monitoring inventory against the agreed levels
Adhering to quality standards and requirements, including all QMS related items.
What we’re looking for:
• Experience in production planning within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Great attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Confident using Excel
• Calm under pressure and flexible when plans change
Working hours:
Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
