Position: Casual Support Worker
Hours: Zero contracted hours (Mon-Sun, including weekends, days, evenings, holidays and sleep in's)
77 per hour inclusive of holiday pay or, £12.29 per hour exclusive of holiday pay
Advance is looking for Casual Support Workers in Kettering to support customers in their own homes with learning disabilities/ autism/ complex needs/ mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. You must have a full UK driving license must have access to your own vehicle, willing to obtain business insurance, mileage will be paid for at 0.Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
Support with preparing and cooking meals
Support with attending medical appointments
Support with social activities
Support with independent skills
Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
Keeping up to date with your training
Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety
Travel throughout the town and provide outreach support (travel expenses are reimbursed)
many of our Support Workers have gone on to be managers, and some have moved into roles in other areas of our business. You don't need to have previous experience working in care or support to be successful in this role. What matters are your values, your passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with autism or learning disabilities.
If you think a Causal Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:
Able to complete quality support records
Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
Need to be literate and numerate in English
Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
Experience in care/support desirable
