You will be working towards a full-time job and studying towards a degree apprenticeship with Sheffield Hallam University on our flagship BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions. It’s a 3-year course that begins with an initial 12-week on-campus bootcamp at Sheffield Hallam University. You will then study part-time using a blended approach, combining on-campus days and online learning, while working full-time. You will learn industry-standard technologies and cover modules such as programming fundamentals, systems analysis and design, database administration, and software engineering concepts. The degree includes a final stage project in collaboration with Capgemini’s business.

As an Apprentice Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of one of our Scrum teams. You'll work with a diverse group of senior and junior engineers who share your passion for Agile practices, high-quality software, and innovative problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with team members to design, develop, and deliver software solutions that meet our client's needs.
* Embracing Agile methodologies to enhance productivity, communication, and project success.
* Learning from experienced senior engineers and mentoring junior team members to foster a culture of knowledge sharing.

Your Profile
To be eligible, you need:
* 7 GCSEs including Maths and English grade 4-9
* Good knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, etc.
* Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Additionally, you should have:
* 3 A*-C grades at A-level (Note: AS Levels are not included)
* Completed an Advanced Apprenticeship
* BTEC with a minimum of MMM
This role is based in Telford, West Midlands. You should be within a commutable distance to the Telford office, where you are expected to work approximately three days a week. This specific role is not available in other UK locations, though other opportunities on our website may offer more flexibility regarding location.
Your Security Clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
