Overview
Our client is looking for a Development Manager to support their growth ambitions across renewable and low-carbon technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing planning permissions, project consents, and property agreements, while helping identify and deliver new development opportunities across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the preparation, submission, and discharge of planning applications, coordinating internal and external resources to deliver successful project consents.
* Negotiate and secure property agreements including options, leases, and access rights to support project development and construction.
* Identify and evaluate new development sites and opportunities, engaging with stakeholders, consultants, and landowners to progress viable projects.
* Oversee and collaborate with consultants, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure projects meet commercial, technical, and environmental objectives.
Key Requirements
* Has proven experience managing renewable energy or infrastructure development projects through planning and consent stages.
* Demonstrates strong knowledge of UK planning processes and familiarity with property and land agreements.
* Possesses excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with landowners, councils, and community groups.
* Is a proactive project manager with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
